The International Symposium of the 75th Anniversary of the First Women’s Meeting In Kastamonu – Kastamonu’da İlk Kadın Mitingi’nin 75. Yıldönümü Uluslararası Sempozyumu

In presence of the then Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Tansu Çiller. the international symposium was held on 10th and 11th December 1994. Organized by the Atatürk Research Center, the symposium featured inauguration speeches, notably by Prime Minister Çiller, four sessions, and an extra panel. Speaking in the third session (üçüncü oturum), I presented the topic “Women’s Rights In Macedonia after World War I” (“I. Dünya Savaşı’ndan Sonra Makedonya’da Kadın Hakları”), focusing on the situation prevailing in the Greek sector of Macedonia. 

The quarterly Bilge: Yayın Tanıtım Tahlil Eleştiri, in its spring 1997 (1997 Bahar 12) issue, featured the event; the distinguished intellectual and author Nevin Korucuoğlu (https://www.biyografya.com/biyografi/12700) penned the presentation, which covered 7 pages of the review. Her contribution is titled: “«Kastamonu’da İlk Kadın Mitingi’nin 75. Yıldönümü Uluslararası Sempozyumu» adlı kitap hakkında izlenimler”.
